It’s been 31 years…

January 13th of 2013 marks the 31st year that my dad passed away. Though I do not cry anymore when I talk about him, it does not mean it still doesn’t hurt. This bond I have with him is inexplicable. I wish I could explain it, but it really is just for him and me.

“As old as she was, she still missed her daddy sometimes.”

Gloria Naylor

“From childhood’s hour I have not been. As others were, I have not seen. As others saw, I could not awaken. My heart to joy at the same tone. And all I loved, I loved alone.”

Edgar Allen Poe
